Pecas is my personal music project, a space where I blend soul, lo-fi R&B, and experimental electronic music into intimate productions that revolve around my voice. Born in Madrid and raised in New York, I’ve always existed between worlds, and that feeling shapes the sound and spirit of what I make.

I started releasing music as Pecas with my debut EP After Dark in 2018 on the Brooklyn label Broken Circles, followed by the single “T-Shirt,” which premiered on Gorilla vs Bear and landed placements on NPR’s New Music Friday, Spotify’s All New Indie, and YouTube’s Blogged 50. In 2020, I put out “Hired Gun,” a love song to AI, which was featured on The Fader’s “10 Songs You Need in Your Life This Week,” alongside artists like Arca and serpentwithfeet.

After relocating from New York to Mexico City, I released “BEAUTIFUL” in 2023, along with a modern sci-fi music video. The track picked up attention across Spanish and Mexican press, including Remezcla, IndieRocks MX, and Spotify’s Fresh Finds España and Novedades Indie playlists. The latest album I recorded (and have yet to release), was recorded between Mexico City and New York, and marks a new chapter for me, one where I’ve leaned into experimental production techniques, broken away from traditional song structures, and explored new sides of my voice and sound.
