Pecas is the personal music project of Sandy Davis, which blending soul, lo-fi R&B, and experimental electronic music into intimate productions centered around her voice. Born in Madrid and raised in New York, Pecas naturally exists between worlds, an experience that deeply shapes the project’s sound and emotional landscape.

The debut EP After Dark was released in 2018 on the Brooklyn label Broken Circles, followed by the single “T-Shirt,” which premiered on Gorilla vs Bear and earned placements on NPR’s New Music Friday, Spotify’s All New Indie, and YouTube’s Blogged 50. In 2020, Pecas released “Hired Gun,” a love song to AI that was featured on The Fader’s “10 Songs You Need in Your Life This Week,” alongside artists like Arca and serpentwithfeet.

After relocating from New York to Mexico City, Pecas released “BEAUTIFUL” in 2023, accompanied by a modern sci-fi music video. The track drew attention across Spanish and Mexican media, including Remezcla, IndieRocks MX, and Spotify’s Fresh Finds España and Novedades Indie playlists. The most recent album—yet to be released—was recorded between Mexico City and New York, marking a new chapter that embraces experimental production, deconstructed song structures, and an expanded vocal palette.
